Welcome to Magical Mutt: Training for Dogs and Their People

WE ARE JOINING CITY DOG TRAINING IN JUNE 2009

Magical Mutt and City Dog Training are joining forces starting this month. Next week we will be moving together to a new building at 321 Washington St in Somerville. It is located between Harvard and Union Square and not far from Inman Square.

Marjie Alonso, owner of City Dog Training, LLC and I have decided to partner under the name of City Dog (it is such a perfect name for all the dogs who come to train!!). Donna Culbert, who has been teaching puppy classes will continue on and we are being joined by Leah Tremble, who has taught for many years at Masterpeace in Franklin. This is a great team with a breadth and depth of experience. We are all very excited about the concept of creating a community center for dogs. We hope to offer regular classes, short course, seminars and lots of non-traditional events.

Though the new space is still small it is 1300 sq feet on the first floor with high ceilings. We also have a small puppy room on the second floor and a kitchen to practice real world training. We will be able to provide "agility for fun" classes.

We also can use the very large parking lot to do things like recall classes, tracking, leave it in the real world, long distance stays and just about anything you can imagine.

We welcome your input on class ideas. If you need help with something - well there are probably other people interested in learning too.

We are working on updating City Dog's website. There will be more information there soon. www.citydogtraining.com. We are developing a schedule of classes that will be posted there.

Keep your eyes open and your noses to the ground. In July/August there will be a series of fun events to celebrate our opening and the Dog Days of Somerville!!
